Tokopedia delivery to Bali: how long it takes and how to get it faster
Most Tokopedia sellers ship from Java, so an order to Bali usually takes a few days. If you need it today, there is a way: buy from a seller in Bali and pick instant or same-day delivery. Below is what the couriers and Tokopedia's own help pages say, checked in October 2026.
How long delivery from Java to Bali takes
Tokopedia shows an estimate at checkout and says itself that it is an estimate, not a guarantee. The couriers' own numbers for a 1 kg parcel:
- JNE REG: Jakarta to Denpasar 2 to 3 days, Jakarta to Canggu or Ubud 3 to 5 days, Surabaya to Denpasar 2 to 3 days.
- AnterAja Regular: 2 to 4 days.
- Bulky items: JNE's JTR service (bulk shipments by land and sea) takes 5 to 6 days from Jakarta to Denpasar.
Next Day delivery is gone: on 13 November 2024 Tokopedia removed it for JNE, SiCepat, AnterAja and Paxel.
What you choose at checkout
You choose a speed, not a courier: Standar (standard), Ekonomi (economy), Kargo (cargo), Same Day, Same Day 8 jam (8 hours) or Instan 3 jam (instant, 3 hours). Tokopedia then assigns the courier based on availability and performance.
Same day in Bali: buy from a seller in Bali
Instant and same-day delivery only work when the seller is close. GoSend and GrabExpress instant take orders up to 40 km and 20 kg, so in practice the seller has to be in Bali. To find one:
- Search for the product on tokopedia.com.
- In the filters, open Lokasi (location) and tick Bali, Denpasar or Kab. Badung.
- Under Durasi Pengiriman (delivery time), tick Instant or Same Day.
- At checkout, pick Instan or Same Day and set the exact pin of your address on the map.
GoSend Instant picks up within 1.5 hours and delivers within 3 hours of pickup; it can be booked from 06:00 to 21:00 WIB. GrabExpress Same Day 8 jam takes bookings from 08:00 to 16:00 WIB, up to 38 km and 7 kg; for GrabExpress Instant the same help page gives two windows, 06:00 to 20:00 and 08:00 to 21:00 WIB. Bali runs on WITA, one hour ahead of WIB: a 21:00 WIB cut-off is 22:00 in Bali.
Free shipping
Free shipping (Gratis Ongkir) is a voucher now, not something applied automatically. Since 1 April 2026 Tokopedia hands out at least 25 vouchers a week with a minimum spend of Rp5,000. They cover standard, economy, cargo, instant and same-day delivery from regular shops, Power Merchant shops and Official Stores, and your account has to be fully verified. The table in the same FAQ still lists a Rp30,000 minimum for delivery outside Java, which includes Bali, so check the voucher terms at checkout.
One catch if you shop on a laptop: Tokopedia's pages say you have to finish the order in the Android or iOS app to get free shipping (the free shipping terms also allow the site opened on a phone), so it does not apply when you pay on a desktop computer. If the voucher matters for an order, finish the payment in the Tokopedia app.
Tracking, and what to do if the parcel doesn't arrive
The order goes through Menunggu Konfirmasi (waiting for the seller), Pesanan Diproses (being prepared), Sedang Dikirim (shipped) and Sampai Tujuan (arrived). The Lacak button shows the courier's tracking. If the seller does not respond in time, the order is cancelled automatically.
- After delivery the order completes on its own after a deadline shown on the order page (2x24 hours for free-shipping orders), and the seller is paid.
- A damaged or wrong item, or a parcel marked delivered that never came, has to be reported within those 2x24 hours, before the order shows Pesanan Selesai (completed).
- If the parcel is late, press Ajukan Komplain (file a complaint) before confirming receipt. You have 7 days from the handover to the courier for instant and same day, 30 days for regular and economy, and 45 days for cargo.
- Refunds land the next working day for GoPay, virtual accounts and Indomaret or Alfamart payments (the last two go to your Tokopedia balance, Saldo Refund), the next day for OVO and DANA, in up to 2 working days for QRIS and in up to 14 working days on cards. Shipping and insurance are not refunded once the parcel has left, and the service fee is not refunded.
All of these screens are in Indonesian. TokoTranslate translates the order pages and statuses into English, so you can see where the parcel is and what the complaint form asks for.
